Facility
Completed in 2004, South Willamette Veterinary Clinic offers the most modern surgical, treatment, and hospitalization facilities for small animals and horses. The reception area is very spacious allowing separate access to equine and small animal treatment areas. There is ample room for product display, pharmaceuticals, and client information.
In the equine section there are four stalls for hospitalization with adjacent turnout. A large treatment area is equipped with restraint stocks for reproduction and minor standing procedures and a surgery room for procedures requiring general anesthesia. There are adjacent rooms for digital and conventional radiography. Soft and hard surface areas are available for extensive lameness exams. A covered trailer parking area is provided for large animal arrivals. Additional reproductive work is performed at Triple Crown Farm in Pleasant Hill with a complete breeding laboratory and phantom. In the spring of 2008 an addition phantom will be available for stallion collection in Creswell.
Areas are shared for instrument sterilization and in house laboratory testing. In the small animal section there are four exam rooms, a well-ventilated canine ward with skylights, a separate cat ward, a complete surgical suite, and a treatment room with stations for minor surgical procedures and dentals. Large runs are available for dog boarding. A completely separate isolation ward protects general patients from potential infectious diseases. A library and conference room is provided for client consultation and research study. |
